Description: This dataset is a compilation of numerous methods to identify spring locations as point features around the Nulla Basalt Province, as part of the Upper Burdekin groundwater project within Exploring for the Future. In addition, the locations of these points have been manually altered through detailed analysis of high resolution imagery and elevation data acquired as part of the same project. This compilation of spring locations is not considered an exhaustive suite of springs, as it is acknowledged that other clusters could be found in areas not examined thoroughly. The presence of springs, and the initial locations for these springs, are derived from: existing locations in the Queensland Springs Database and 1 to 250,000 topographic map sheets, locations visited in fieldwork and/or marked by citizen science, and some locations identified remotely through Google Earth. Attribute Descriptions: QldSprDb = the spring ID from the Queensland Springs Database; Nul_JH = the spring ID from the Queensland Department of Environment and Science dataset; Felspar = the spring ID from the landholder at Felspar Station; Toomba = the sample IDs for springs visited by Geoscience Australia staff conducting fieldwork at Toomba Station; Topo250k = spring names identified from the NATMAP topographic mapping.
Description: Inferred regional groundwater contours for the formations of the Nulla Basalt and McBride Basalt Provinces. An interpreted product based on locations of springs and gaining streams, surface topography, and water level readings at bores from February to March 2019.

Description: The outcrop extent of the McBride Basalt Province and the Nulla Basalt Province, as derived from Queensland Detailed Surface Geology vector polygon mapping, March 2017. Units identified as part of the McBride Basalt Province were selected out of the Queensland Detailed Surface Geology and extracted.

Description: Units from the Queensland Detailed Surface Geology (March 2017) have been extracted and resymbolised to focus on the Nulla Basalt Province.
Description: Units from the Queensland Detailed Surface Geology (March 2017) have been extracted and resymbolised to focus on the Nulla Basalt Province. This layer shows the mapped units of the Nulla Basalt Group, including the undifferentiated units separated by presumed age. It also contains two associated sedimentary formations, the Campaspe and Southern Cross formations.
