In 2026, the Wastewater Treatment Facilities Dataset was updated, with new facilities added and existing facilities validated using the most currently available and authoritative source data. For the purposes of this dataset, a Wastewater Treatment Facility is defined as: "A facility where sewage is treated for reuse or environmental discharge."
