Description: Permeability refers to how connected pore spaces are to each another. If the material has high permeability, then pore spaces are well connected allowing fluids to flow from one pore space to another. If there is low permeability, then the pore spaces are isolated and fluids are trapped within them. The unit of measure is called a Darcy.
