Permeability refers to how connected pore spaces are to each another. If the material has high permeability, then pore spaces are well connected allowing fluids to flow from one pore space to another. If there is low permeability, then the pore spaces are isolated and fluids are trapped within them. The unit of measure is called a Darcy. Data compiled as part of the Australian Petroleum Cooperative Research Centre's GEODISC program (1999-2002). The information in this product is as accurate as possible, however, it may be in parts outdated or incomplete. This information should not form the sole basis for a commercial decision. |
